2008 JETCC Founders Award

Ronald TaylorOn Thursday, September 25, 2008, Ronald Taylor, Chief Operator of the Kennebunkport Sewer Department, was recognized for outstanding service to his community and to the profession of wastewater treatment plant operation for the last twenty-three years.  Ronald Taylor was announced as the third recipient of the Joint Environmental Training Coordinating Committee (JETCC) Founders Award during the Maine Wastewater Control Association’s annual convention at Sunday River in Bethel, Maine. more .....





This year’s recipient of the Lee Agger Award is Steve Butler of Brewer Water Pollution Control Facility!

Steve ButlerOn Monday, October 27, 2008 JETCC’s Training Coordinator, Leeann Hanson presented the Award to Mr. Butler at the Brewer facility. Steve first volunteered as a trainer for JETCC in 1996 when he assisted with a safety training class in Brewer. It was a safety class, and at that time Steve was on the Safety Committee. Since that time Steve has become one of those people JETCC has often called for information, direction on training or even assistance with teaching a more classes. Steve has volunteered his time to train for JETCC in locations from Presque Isle to South Portland and in the words of JETCC’s Training Coordinator has always had the attitude of ”just let me know when and where, and I’ll see if I can do it”! Steve is one of the people who really makes my job easy.””  more.....
